IMAGE CODING APPARATUS AND IMAGE CONVERSION APPARATUS

Pub Date: 2011-08-18

Pub Number: US20110200102

An image coding apparatus obtains a quantization parameter of a macroblock to be encoded. The quantization parameter is corrected by adding a correction value thereto. An encoding part encodes the macroblock by using the corrected quantization parameter. After the encoding, a quantization parameter correction part calculates the cumulative target amount of codes by accumulating the target amounts of codes set for the encoded macroblocks, respectively, and calculates the cumulative amount of generated codes by accumulating the respective amounts of generated codes of the encoded macroblocks. If the cumulative amount of generated codes is larger than the cumulative target amount of codes, the quantization parameter correction part increments the correction value. A new macroblock to be encoded is quantized more coarsely than the encoded macroblocks.

Inductor

Pub Date: 2011-08-18

Pub Number: US20110199175

Two conducting wires are used in one embodiment of an inductor. Opposite ends of each of the conducting wires are connected to leader lines (terminals) shared by the conducting wires. Each of the conducting wires is wound to make half a round of an annular or ring-like magnetic substance. One of the conducting wires is wound around a lower half area of the magnetic substance to form one winding while the other conducting wire is wound around an upper half area of the magnetic substance to form another winding. In this manner, the distance between the leader lines can be increased to eliminate parasitic capacitance between the leader lines. The magnetic fluxes generated by current flowing in the two windings are in the same direction. Thus, it is possible to provide an inductor whose total parasitic capacitance is reduced. In other embodiments, additional conducting wires are used.
